When I woke up, I feel that my stomach is uncomfortable and then I also vomitted.  I then send an whatapps to my manager that I can't go to work as I am sick.

Told my mum that I won't be going to work, but instead I will be going to the doctor.  She then ask me to go to the Day Care Centre during her lunch time, told her, no lah, I very sleepy and won't be going to the Day Care Centre.

After my mum boards the transport, I proceed to see the doctor.

Actually, the weather was cloudy, nice for walk at Park Connector, etc, but being sick, I was not in the mood for that.  Instead I went back home.  Slept most of the time and for the whole day, I have no appetite and didn't eat anything.

After my mum was back from the Day Care Centre, told her, you just take your dinner, can finish or not, just leave it there as I want to sleep.

14th Nov (Wed)

Morning, I didn't take my breakfast as no appetite and I was worry that I might vomit when I go work.

In the midst, I  started to feel hungry and was craving for porridge.  So after work, I was at a coffeeshop in Jurong East, saw only 1 duck rice stall selling porridge, so order a duck porridge.

Unlike previously, the stall sells fish ball noodle.  So I ask it is previously, they were at the Food Court near Malaysia Boleh which is now taken over by another shop and then shift over to the present food court, but the lady answer is she doesn't know about it.

Week 23 (Part 1)

4th Jun (Mon)

Yesterday, while waiting for the transport outside PPHCSC to go church, Uncle Tang (Uncle Tang is usually very early at the venue) was not there, a neighbourhood neighbour was mentioning previously while talking to Uncle Tang, she notice that his mouth has dropped, she was worry he might get a stroke and need to find out.

After my mum boards the transport to the Day Care Centre.  I decided to pay Uncle Tang a visit (he has given me his address before), but nobody answer the door.  So I make my way to the supermarket to buy grocery.

Before going to the supermarket, I made a stop at the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) office at the Hospital to make enquiry.

Before my mum goes to the Day Care Centre in Feb 2018, the ex-chairman wife of one of the RC in my Constitution has tell me to go Meet-the-People Session to see MP to apply for wheelchair for my mum as she see my mum having difficulty walking.

Recently, an Uncle, a frequent at PPHCSC Friday breakfast, I bump into him, told me to go Meet-the-People Session see MP request for a wheelchair for my mum as he see my mum having difficulty walking.  He told me he has gone to the MP to apply for a wheelchair for his wife and there is 90% subsidy.

Then another round, the ex RC Chairman came and tell me to go Meet-the-People Session see MP apply wheelchair.

All the while, I have no intention to let my mum sit wheelchair, yes, she walks very slow, but she still can walk, so my view is she can walk, let her walk.

There's a day, I went to ask the Executive Director of PPHCSC, Ms R, Ms R is helping out at the weekly Meet-the -People Session.  She was telling me no need to go see MP, if go, only fill up form.  She was also saiding, the decision lies in me, if I were to let my mum sits wheelchair, my mum might not wants to walk, in which I was thinking too.

Yesterday, Uncle Choo and his son was at church, after the service, father and son went to the hospital visit Mrs Choo, while my mum and I went Harbourfront.  On the way back home, bump into them at the bus.  Was chatting with Mr Choo, where he mention his wife now doesn't have the strength to walk and the helper has to wheel the wife around.  That's what worry me too, if I were to let my mum sit in the wheelchair.

At the AIC office, the lady was asking me, can my mum walk.  My reply is yes, my mum cam walk, but very slow, beside my mum doesn't feel breathless when she walk. She then was saying, if my mum can walk, let her walk, why let her sit wheelchair.

If touchwood, my mum really needs wheelchair, when my mum has appointment with the Doctor in the hospital, tell the Doctor, they will arrange for the Occupational Therapist to do the assessment and put up.  I have to pay 10%.

Then went to buy grocery and then lunch.

Sausage, ham, egg set @ $6

Add $1, comes with garlic bread, which I find it had turn cold and not so nice already.

And a mushroom soup

After unpacking the grocery and rest for a while, I decided to go and knock on Uncle Tang's door, again, nobody open the door.

As my mum has been having a cough since last Thursday, and she doesn't wants to see doctor, so I went on behalf of my mum to the General Practitioner that my mum sees before she was admitted to the hospital the other time and was given cough syrup.  The best part is no payment from my side is required (my mum has the Pioneer Generation subsidies).

Week 18 (Part 5)

4th May (Fri)

I was thinking whether to go PPHCSC for the Friday Breakfast Session anot or to go straight to see doctor.

Second thought, if I were to go see doctor, not too sure how long I have to wait.  Polyclinic is usually very crowded, beside, the online appointment system only allows same day appointment, which means, I can't go to the website yesterday to make appointment for today and the appointment hotline is not easy to get through, have to hold and hold.

So in the end, after my mum boards the transport, I walk over to PPHCSC.

As usual, beehoon with youtiao and egg.  As it's the first Friday of the month, they celebrate the birthday for those born in the month of May.  But no bingo game as they mention next Friday, celebrate Mother's Day then play Bingo.

After the breakfast session, went to see doctor.  I reach the Polyclinic at around 10.50am, was surprised to see many people as I thought, Monday will be very crowded and the other day won't be so crowded.  By the time, i'm done with seeing doctor, collect medicine, make payment, it's already 2pm.

I have to rush, as need to buy dinner for my mum, be back before the transport fetch her back.  Have a quick brunch, a pan-fried soon kueh @ $0.80 and a pan-fried png kueh @ $1.

Actually, I wanted the soon kueh without pan-fried, but it's sold out, so go for the pan-fried soon kueh.  As for the png kueh, they do still have without pan-fried, but I forgot to tell them, so they take it that I want pan-fried for the png kueh.

Since when I reach my kampong, see that the timing is almost tea-break time, drop by the Day Care Centre. The first word the Malay guy said when I saw him is darling @%^#%. They did some changes in the seating arrangement, my mum was seated at another table with 2 elderly auntie.

There are 4 Malay in the Day Care Centre.  3 male and 1 female.  Macik cones everyday from Monday to Friday.  Uncle O also goes to the Day Care Centre everyday.  Uncle H goes on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.  As for "Hulk Hogan", Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  Hulk Hogan was in the same table with Uncle O.

At first, I didn't see macik, only when the son came then I saw her.  My heart sank when I saw her in wheelchair.  Ask her son, what happen, macik has a mild stroke (relapse), so sad.

There's an elderly uncle whose daughter is there.  She mention her dad doesn't likes drawing, the oher day, he was ask to do drawing, and he throw tantrum.  She was worry the dad will throw tantrum by saiding don't want to go Day Care Centre, so she stays with the dad whole day today at the Day Care Centre.

Think should be the same drawing as with my mum, as heard my mum mention they ask her to do drawing, but she doesn't know how to draw.

Tea break for the elderly is fruit tart.

Medicine from the doctor is antibiotic, which I have to complete the whole course.  Panadol as the doctor saids that I have slight fever.  When I see the minazol powder, it looks familiar, checked back, it's the same minazol powder I got months back when I develop rashes around my breast area.

Christmas Day (25th Dec)

Early in the morning of Christmas Day, my mum and I were at JEM as my mum wants to eat the porridge from KFC.  After that, we were at the supermarket to buy grocery.  Then my mum wants to eat fishball kway teow.

I had 2 beancurd roll with fish paste @ $1.30 each and a ngoh hiang @ $1.70.

Before going back, was at the Food Court, ordered a salmon with chicken set (comes with a bowl of rice and kimchi) @ $7 to share with my mum.

My mum wanted to eat sushi, there's a sushi counter at the supermarket, bought the unagi set @ $6.50 for her.

My sushi set @ $3.90

Sunday (12th Nov)

Since I am meeting friend on Saturday, didn't bring my mum to the Saturday Hokkien Service in Tanglin Road, went Sunday morning Church Service in Bukit Batok (the Church have 2 worship centre, one in Tanglin Road, another in Bukit Batok).

The Church have a cafe selling breakfast, the service starts at 9am, but we were there at 8am as to have breakfast there.  My mum wants Nasi  Lemak @ $1.50.

I ordered a Mee Siam @ $2.  Was told next week, they will be closed and will reopen in January 2018.

After the service, we went to the Food Centre at Jurong East St. 24 to have our lunch.  My mum wants porridge.  There are two stalls selling porridge, the stall I wanted to order from has sold out their porridge.  So order from the other stall.  Ordered a fish plus meatball porridge @ $4 for my mum.  I didn't order for myself porridge as I never try this stall before.

Walk around to see what to eat where I saw an elderly lady unconscious, a guy was doing CPR for her. Kudo to the guy.  If me, I don't think i have the guts to do it as the other time when I learn CPR, it was done on dummy.

Saw a stall selling wanton mee, a few customers queuing and I join in the queue and order a fried dumpling noodle @ $3.50.

Will queuing for the food, saw the ambulance arrive.  Hope the elderly lady is alright.

After that, went to the nearby coffeeshop to drink coffee before going back. Coffee @ $1.10 each.
