Subaru Challenge (8th Nov)

I was back at the Subaru Challenge on 8th Nov.

(1) When i reach there, i was curious how many contestants left, and also i was on the lookout for some friends who will be there. Saw my friend and ask him how many left standing there and was told 3 contestants left.  1 from the regional (Philippines) and 2 from Singapore.

(2) 2 males (1 from Philippines and 1 from Singapore) and 1 female (from Singapore).

(3) The challenge starts at 1pm on Saturday, the contestants will get a break of 5 minutes every 6 hours.  The contestant who have his/her palm on the car for the longest hours will get to drive away with a Subaru Car.  The runner up with get a cash of $5,000 (if i didn't get it wrong).

(4) Since the challenge is left with 3 contestants, the contestant with camera, marshal keeping a close look to see if his palm slips.

(5) While waiting, i went to play at the Public Challenge, walk to Ion Orchard, chit chat with my sister, was telling sister, if she take part, i will sure be there everyday to support and cheer for her, i only went on the first day which is Saturday and on Tuesday.  Finally the winner is out, he is Mr Sunawr Ali, total hour : 75 hours 58 mins.

Subaru Challenge @ Ngee Ann City (5th Nov)

The Subaru Challenge is back in it's 15th years.  During the Deepavali dinner at a friend house, friend (which i called her Sister), mention she's taking back in the Subaru Challenge.  Sister taking part in the Challenge, of course must go support.  On the day itself, i message Sister which car is she in and what's her number.  Sister reply that she last minute quit, as her big auntie came earlier than expected.  Since already on the way, go to support other friend taking part.

MediaCorp Subaru Car Challenge - Day 4 (3rd Nov)

I was back on Day 4 afternoon, wanting to see who's the winner for Year 2015 Mediacorp Subaru Car Challenge.

(1) When i reach in the afternoon, the only Singaporean lady left with her palm on the car.  Then i went for my meal and when i am back, she's out of the challenge.  Wanted to talk to her when i saw her, but didn't manage to talk much as there's others who are "interviewing" her.

(2) 2 contestants from the Regional Team in Car 2, 1 from Vietnam and 1 from Malaysia.

(7) One of the contestant, Mr Abdul Hamid Jonid, nickname Kacang, who has drop out being interview, if i didn't remember and hear wrongly, this is the 9th year he has been participating in the challenge.

I left at around 5.30pm as i have something after that.  The winner is from Vietnam, Mr Nguyen Phuoc Huynh and he clock in 77 hours 58 mins.  This is the first time, Regional contestant has won the challenge.    First Runner-up is Mr Tan Hong Seng from Malaysia.  So to said, he won S$5,000 for being the last standing contestant.  

Sad that Singaporean did not win the challenge.

Fox Walking Dead

I walk around when i went to the Subaru Car Challenge and took some pictures of what i saw.

MediaCorp Subaru Car Challenge - Day 1 (31st Oct)

Previous post on the MediaCorp Subaru Car Challenge is a brief post as i promised Mr Chong, 2011 winner that i will write a post about it. But it was not a paid post, i did not get any benefits from it.

(1) Real Gunner was asking what event is that.  It's where the participants will place their right palm on the car and whoever had his/her palm longest on the car will walk away with a Subaru Car (including COE), previous years no COE, only started this year, the COE, in addition with S$5,000 worth of free fuel from Shell.

Total, there are 400 participants, 320 from Singapore, 80 from across the regional, 10 each from Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

They will be given a 5 minutes break every 6 hours.  The events kicks off on 31st October at 1pm. 

(2) This year, there's a tent as compare to previous year, whether rain or shine, they have to endure it.  As from what i understand, they decided to have it inside the tent due to the unpredictable haze, 

(3) The participant will pick a ping pong ball, if the ping pong ball has a number for the palm positions in the car, they will register at the counter. 

(4) The participant will keep their belonging in a zip lock bag, and it will be return to them once they are out from the challenge.

(6) Total, there are 10 cars, 2 cars are Regional participants, the other 8 cars are Singaporean participants.  Each car has 40 participants.
