Funeral of Mr Lee Kuan Yew

Suituapui was asking me if i attended the funeral of the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew.  Newspapers, website, etc.  has the route in which the cortege will passed by for the State Funeral in University Cultural Centre.

I did not arrived early as i went to Church in the morning.  Usually i do not have the habit to check the weather forecast about the weather.  When i arrived at 12.30pm, it was raining very heavy, with me is only an umbrella and i did not bring raincoat.

There were already many people there, but i manage to stand in one spot and catch the last glimpse of the cortege pass-by.

Parliament House (27th March 2015)

Went on another day with 2 of my friends, one of them, when reached, saw the queue and also that the weather is hot, backed out, so left 2 of us.

Met my friends at one of my friend house at 6.45am, the other friend was late and reach around 7am, and she drove to Harbourfront where she park her car there (her hubby is working there and the parking there is free), then we took the MRT to City Hall.  We reach there around 7.45am.

Parliament House

Mr Lee Kuan Yew body lies at the Parliament House from 25th March to 28th March for the public to pay their last respect.  Funeral is on 29th March.

Went to pay last respect with my mum at the Parliament House.

When we got out from the City Hall MRT Station, we saw the queue that starts to form even before the traffic light.

Queue at the Padang

There's a priority queue for the elderly (60 and above), pregnant, with special needs.  As my mum is above 60 years old, my mum gets to queue at the priority queue.  The queue took us 1 hours.
