Rochor Canal ----》 Geylang Park Connector

Another Park Connector Walk with friend.


(1) While waiting to cross the road, took picture, on my right is Rochor Centre which will be demolished and makes way for the new North-South Expressway by the end of the year.


(2) On my left, there's a Hotel 81 and other building


(3) Gateway Plaza

(6) Queen's Street Bus Terminal, this is where you can take Bus No. 170 to Johor Bahru.

(20) It so happen it started drizzlng and we manage to find a bus stop with Bus no. 158.


(21) We took the bus and alight 3 bus stops later at Kampong Kayu and went for a drink at the nearby market, hoping the rain will stop and we could continue with the walk. Ice Lemon Tea @$1.30.

  1. What's that? The National Stadium? Wowwww!!! It sure was not like that in 1973, the good ol' days of the Kallang Roar! I could hear it from my room in the Beach Road HDB flats.

  5. Answer to your question on Genting Highland...the journey from Ipoh to Genting takes about 2.5 hours, depending on the speed.

  7. Your photos really brought me lots of memories about Golden Mile Tower and Rochor Centre during the 1980s. I visited Sg with my best buddy who was later killed in a tragic accident. We were crazy friends like monkeys!

    Hey that plant in Pix 26 is called Daun Kedok which is a popular shredded veggie in the Nyonya's Perut Ikan Curry as well as the Thais serving them in their Mieng Kham appetizer.
