Continental Cake

Another recipe which i try out from the recipe book which i bought is the Continental Cake. I use half of the recipe and add in melon seed, in the end, all sink under the cake.

Recipe taken from Romancing with Cakes by Connie Leaw


Ingredients A
8 eggs
210g sugar

Ingredients B
230g cake flour
1 tbsp baking powder

2 egg yolks


Ingredients C
10g green tea powder
10g instant coffee powder

100g hot water


Ingredient D
11og corn oil

Method

1. Whip Ingredients A until light and fluffy.

2. Add in cake flour and baking powder in Ingredient B. Mix well. Add in egg yolk. Mix well.


3. Mix Ingredients C until fully dissolved. ADd into mixture of Ingredients A and B.

4. Add in Ingredient D.


5. Pour the mixture into a 8" lined and greased baking tray and bake in oven at 170C for 35 min.
