Jalan jalan makan makan (5th Nov)

Starts my Sunday morning with Zumba, then bought breakfast back, take shower. It has been quite sometimes since I went Changi Airport.  Changi Airport Terminal 4 opens recently.  Was asking my mum if she wants to go there jalan jalan.  She's ok, but then she does not like to take MRT.  So we took bus there.  Took a bus from my place to Eunos and change to bus no. 24 that goes to Changi Airport.

We stop at Terminal 3, was greet by this huge bear when we enter the premise.

Then ask my mum if she wanted to go makan, let her choose where she wants to eat.

We were at the Food Court in Terminal 3.  She wanted the Saba fish set @ $7.50.

Chawamushi @ $1 if order any set meal, my mum took a bite before I am ready to take picture of it.

I was tempted by the xiao long bao @ $5

Dessert was Bo-Bo cha cha @ $3 to share, lucky I was not greedy enough to order another dessert, if not, don't think can finish it.

At first I thought there's skytrain to connect to Terminal 4, I was wrong, there's shuttle bus from Terminal 2 that takes the public to Terminal 4.

 Guess Terminal 4 just open recently, so it was mountain people, mountain sea and also it's weekend.

While walking around the Food Court, was attracted by this ong lai flower, hardly I see flower in the form of ong lai.

Lucky my mum and I, we eat at Terminal 3, as the eatery place in Terminal 4, full house.

We took the shuttle bus back to Terminal 2, then take bus no. 24 to Geylang Serai where my mum wanted to go to the usual Indian eatery she been before.

My mum wants mee goreng, but we were there at around 4.30pm, mee goreng is only available at 5pm. So order Indian rojak as requested by her.

Had a piece of plain prata and an egg prata.  We share share the Indian rojak and prata.

Kopi

Total for the Indian rojak, prata and 2 cups of kopi, $8.10.

Lor Mee @ Malaysia Boleh ( Jurong Point)

With the opening of the extension of Malaysia Boleh @ Jurong Point, there are some new stalls.

One of the stall I have yet to try is lor mee @ $4, which I find that the gravy is just nice to me, not too thick and also not diluted.  I had beehoon mee.

The ingredients included 三层肉, intestines (which I have not come across in those lor mee I eat before),  half hard boiled egg.  They also have 猪皮， but I do not eat that, so no 猪皮 for me.

Fast Food

My mum has wanted to eat the porridge from KFC.  So was at JEM KFC first to makan then go supermarket buy grocery.

Have yet to try the pancake & turkey bacon platter @ $7.30 which comes with a cup of kopi/tea. In the platter, there are 3 pieces of pancake, 2 pieces of turkey bacon, hash brown and scrambled egg. 

Saw from a flyer in my letterbox about Popeyes promotion.  Was tempted by the solo combo meal @ $5.90 which comes with a piece of chicken, 2 pieces of chicken tender, 1 regular fries and a regular drink.

Additional order, 6 pieces of fried mushroom @ $2.90.

Long John Silver do serve breakfast, one of the item is porridge.  My mum wanted to try out the porridge.  Ordered salmon porridge set @ $5.20 which comes with a salmon porridge and kopi/tea.  It was not ready after I order, the staff send over the porridge, was disappointed when I saw it.  Lucky order only 1 set.  The porridge don't looks appetizing, overall still prefer the other fast food chain porridge.

Saturday (4th Nov)

Attended the Saturday afternoon 1.30pm Hokkien Service with my mum.  After the service, as usual, went Bukit Merah for early dinner.

My mum wants porridge from the chap chai rice stall.

Not much variety at that timing, so choose whatever that is available.

Fish, which I ask and was told, $2.50 a piece, total for my mum's chap chai porridge @ $4.90.

I don't feel like having chap chai rice.  The other 2 stalls that are open, Indian stall and Wu Xiang stall. No craving for Indian food, so opt for Wu Xiang.  My mum wants tau kwa, so order a piece for her. Above set cost $6.40.

Went to buy bread and saw Happy Face @ $1.60, can't resist the temptation and bought one back.

The Original Cake

When Original Cake opens in Westgate, there was a queue, if there is a queue, and if u ask me whether will I be willing to queue for it.  No thank you.

Now that there is no queue, I thought I will get one to try out.

There are two types, original and cheese.  Got the original one @ $10.  It so happen there's a guy behind me, heard him asking which is more popular, the staff reply him, cheese.

I actually ask the staff to cut into half for me as I thought of sharing half with my neighbour, but was told I have to do it myself, they do provide a plastic knife.  If I didn't share with my neighbour, the whole cake will be finish in no time.  That means, I have to work extra hard to go workout.

There's another Ah Ma traditional cake which I have yet to try as I saw queue the other time I pass by Ah Ma traditional cake.

Weekend (28th & 29th Oct)

Since attending the Hokkien Service at the Church in Tanglin Road previous Saturday, my mum and I went again for the Hokkien Service last Saturday afternoon.  After the service, we went back to the same coffeeshop we went previous Saturday in Bukit Merah Central. 

My mum had fishball kway teow @ $3.50

On Sunday, we attended the 9am Chinese Service at the same Church in Tanglin Road.  After service, we went Bukit Merah Central again for lunch.  This round, we went another coffeeshop.  Guess it's Sunday, some stalls are not open.  An Indian food stall, porridge stall and a chap chai rice stall was open.

@ One KM Mall

It has been a while since I pay my friend a visit at her shop.  After the visit, thought of going Haig Road Food Centre to eat before transferring another bus back.  I had in mind to eat satay.  But was disappointed as when reach there, realise that the Food Centre was closed for two months for repair work.  So can only hantam whatever foods available in One KM Mall. Since my mum with me, let her decided what she wants to eat.

Walk a round at the basement of One KM Mall, my mum chose Encik Tan.  She wants fishball kway teow, but no more kway teow, so had fishball mee kia @ $4.

Ordered a fried carrot cake @ $4 as it's one of my mum favourite.

Blueberry drink @ $1.50

Next we went KFC for something light, ordered a 4 pieces nuggets snacker @ $4, it comes with a drink also which I didn't take picture.

While leaving, saw Toast Box, which I have wanted to have coffee at Toast Box, usually it's crowded, no chance , but the one at One KM Mall is not crowded, so told my mum we go there 3rd round.  Ordered a pandan swiss roll @ $1.80, which I find not bad.

And a coffee @ $1.70

Then it's Home Sweet Home.
