Off day (17th Sept)

17th Sept (Mon)

My mum has a medical appointment at the Outpatient Specialist Clinic in the morning.  After the appointment, send her to the Day Care Centre.

After seeing that she has taken her lunch, I left and make my way to West Coast Plaza as I need to get a pair of sport shoe as my old one has worn-out.

Earlier on,  I tried the  wanton mee from Tanjong Rhu Wanton Mee at one of the coffeeshop in Jurong East.  I went back again, wanting to try the dumpling, but I was told the dumpling is not ready.

When I was in West Coast Plaza, has been a while since I was there, saw that there's a new food court, and they have a Tanjong Rhu Wanton Mee stall there too.

So I decided to try out the dumpling noodle, but the dumpling noodle at the food court in West Coast Plaza is $1 more expensive than the one at the coffeeshop in Jurong East.  Dumpling noodle @ West Coast Plaza food court : $5.50.

After getting my new pair of sport shoe, went to Toast Box and had their bo luo yao and a cup of coffee @ $3.70.

Then it's time to go back and wait for the transport to bring my mum back.

After my mum boards the transport, I make my way to the Day Care Centre to make payment for my mum's September Day Care Centre fee before rushing off for work.

Start of a new month

2th Jul (Mon)

Starting of the month, after my mum boards the transport, make my way to the Day Care Centre, as need to pay payment.

As usual, in the morning, it will be exercise time for the elderly.  As for those in my mum's group, before the start of the exercise, they will be ask questions like , what is my name (name of the staff conducting the exercise), what day is it today, what is the date today, where is this place.

My mum lunch - brown rice with cabbage, tofu and chicken.

After my mum has eaten, time for me to make a move.  I didn't go to the nearby eatery place, but go to one of the coffeeshop in West Coast which I didn't go for a long time.  Seem that most of the stalls are new to me.

In the end, I choose braise pork rice @ $4.50 which had braised pork, half egg, tau pok, salted vegetable, braised peanuts.

The soup

Just before my mum come back,  I thought I will be a busybody again, by going to Uncle Tang's place to see if he has come back home.

Good that Uncle Tang has been discharge and he mention he reach home around 1 plus and his brother-in-law fetch him.

He then said he wanted to give me a red packet which I told him no need.  If he wants, buy me a cup of coffee will do.

The next thing is, to inform the Chinese Ministry Pastor of PPH Brethren Church and PPHCSC.

Sheng Yi Fa Lor Mee

The first time I went for the Zumba at West Coast, after the workout, I pass by the coffeeshop and saw a stall selling Lor Mee, I thought I will come again another round since I eat something else the other round.

The stall used to be another famous Lor Mee from Bt. Purmei, if I am not wrong, due to the stall owner health, the stall closed down.  Now change hand to Sheng Yi Fa Lor Mee.

A bowl cost $4.  I like the ingredients but find the gravy a bit diluted.

Guan's Mee Pok

There was this day when i sign up for a workshop at West Coast area and i was early, so i went to the nearby coffeeshop (this coffeeshop was a bit quite) for a cup of coffee.  Saw this Guan's Mee Pok, since i have eaten at that time, i thought i will come back again another time to try out.

Guan's Mee Pok is situated at Blk 713 Clementi West St. 2.  Was curious about Ah Hoe Mee Pok at 500 plus, West Coast, is it associate with Guan's Mee Pok, so i ask the lady who's doing the cooking and was told no.  She was quite friendly.

The first time, when i saw the stall, saw the price was $5, i was at that time thinking, coffeeshop level, why they sell it at $5.  Now i know.  The bowl of $5 Guan's Mee Pok comes with minced mee, half tamago egg, one stick of chicken yakitori, fish maw, fried fishball, dumpling.

I  had mee kia as i prefer mee kia over mee pok

Comes with a bowl of soup

They are closed on Wednesday, opening hours are from 7am to 2.30pm.

Above set cost $7.90.

Collins

Usually, i will go for Zumba on Tuesday, being an auntie, nowadays, i go for those free session organise by Health Promotion Board instead of signing up for it at Community Centre.

As it's a rainy day today and the rain starts before noon, i was worry that the rain won't stop, and it will be cancel if there's rain.  But luckily the rain stops around 4pm.

As on Tuesday, the workout is Zumba @ Mapletree Business City (Yesterday the session was at Labrador Park), Zumba @ Capital Building, Kpop @ Lot 1 Shopping Mall.  Only the session at Lot 1, it's under shelter, whereby Mapletree Business City and Capital Building, it's open space.

Since the rain has stopped, my kaki and i decide on Zumba @ Labrador Park as the timing and place suits us.  Capital Building is too far for us, and as for the Kpop in Lot 1, we will go if it's raining.

As my kaki is not familiar with Labrador Park, she get her hubby to drive her there. and she reach the place 5 ~ 10 min late.  After around 10 min of the workout, she left, at that time, i didn't manage to talk to her as the workout is ongoing.

After the workout, i message her asking how come she left and she replied she quarrel with her husband.  Replied her what happen, she didn't reply.  So when i reach home, i called her, but she rejected my call and reply with she can't talk at that moment, reply her me calling to see if she's all right.  Will follow up with her later of the day, hope she is all right.

Back to my meal, has been sometimes since i went to Collins, was at the outlet in West Coast, had the Grilled Salmon Fillet with Mango Sauce, Pasta and Salad @ $8.90.
