My mum agree to go church today.  As usual, Bukit Merah Central and the same coffeeshop.

Not much variety to choose from, only two muslim store and an Indian stall was open.

My mum had Malay rice @ $3

I had nasi ayam @ $3.50

Halfway through the meal, my mum said that her rice was spicy, so i had to switch my chicken rice with her's.

4th Nov (Sun)

Ever since I started working in this job, I didnt manage to go for workout often.

Nowadays, I do not knock off on the dot.  So to say, I am not able to make a trip to the supermarket to buy grocery as I need to be home before the stated time to pick up my mum when the transport send her back.

A trip to the supermarket on the day when my mum does not go to the Day Care Centre is quite relaxing as I do not need to watch the time and I can take my time.

Before going back, a cup of mochaccino from McCafe @ $4.

An ordinary weekend

21st Sept (Fri)

Few days back, saw my manager eating nasi leak, makes me feel like eating it too.

Everyday when I pass by the convenience store on my way to work, I will see the nasi lemak.  Each packet cost $1.90. This morning, I decided to buy a packet and keeps it till I went back home then eat.

Lucky I bought this packet of nasi lemak as my manager ask me to go to the bank to change note and I have to take Q number and wait for my turn.

Phew, I manage to make it back to my workplace 15 minutes after my knock off time and I also manage to buy 2 otah, 1 original ($0.75) and 1 prawn ($1) to go with my nasi lemak.

Make a trip to the Doctor (General Practitioner) due to rashes around my right breast area.  Was given two type of medicine to stop the itchness and a cream to apply.  The medical fee cost me $32.50.  Was joking with my mum, should have ask her to help me see Doctor, can save $28.50 due to Pioneer Generation subsidy.

22nd Sept (Sat)

During last Saturday exercise, an exercise friend was mentioning she will go back Thailand.  Someone suggested that after the exercise today, we will have a potluck session.  Then the daughter of the exercise friend message the person who teaches us the exercise every Saturday morning, inviting all of us to the house where they will prepare Burmese food for everyone.

The person who teaches us exercise ask her as she mention she will go back Thailand and her daughter prepare Burmese food, only then do we know she's from Myanmar.

The vermicelli or whatever it is call, is similar to those as in thick bee hoon, but is thinner.  Serve with gravy which I heard cook with fish or fish bone, many people, so didn't hear clearly.

As I need to buy food back for my mum, pass by a bakery shop, buy a lotus paste with single yolk @ $8 for mooncake festival.  Nowadays, I'm not into mooncake, so only buy 1 for the sake of Mid-Autumn Festival.

Initial plan was to go for the Sunday English Service, but as I have something to attend to on Sunday morning, I went for the Hokkien Service.  

After service, was at Bukit Merah Central as I have something in mind to eat.

In the end, I didn't eat what I wanted to eat, but eat prawn bee hoon mee @ $4 from the hawker centre as quite a while didn't eat prawn mee already and also pass by the stall and was tempted to eat.

23rd Sept (Sun)

Attend the Community Emergency Preparedness, an overview of SGSecure & Essential Emergency Preparedness, Tier 2 Training at the Community Club in the morning.

Has been a while since I went for the Sunday at the Park workout at my kampong neighborhood park, today I manage to make it.

It has been a while (15th Sept - Sat)

Usually every Saturday morning, if nothing pops up, I will go for the usual morning exercise.

It so happen one of the exercise friend, who is from Thailand, is going back Thailand next Sunday.  So a group of us went to the nearby coffeeshop for a drink.

This is my first time at that coffeeshop, didn't know that this coffeeshop exist.  So before going back, bought food back for my mum and also a piece of egg prata @ $1.70 for myself.

Few days back, I receive a call from the Hokkien Service Pastor asking me how come my mum and I didn't attend the Hokkien Service.

So today, I show my face at the Hokkien Service.  As I didn't attend Hokkien Service for a month, heard from some elderly that due to mooncake festival, there's a buffet after the service.

Initially, my plan was to go Bukit Merah View for the Teochew porridge, since I have eaten at the Church, I went Bukit Merah Central for a cup of Mocha @ $5 before buying food back for my mum.

Pre weekend to weekend

6th Jul (Fri)

TGIF.  As usual, after my mum board the transport, walk over to PPHCSC for the Friday breakfast session.

Vegetarian bee hoon with youtiao, as it's the first Friday of the month, there's birthday celebration for those born in the month of July and also bingo game.

Understand from Uncle Choo that his wife is admitted to the hospital.  Decided to pay her a visit.

After the visit, a cup of kopi @ $2

Can't resist the temptation of chicken wing, so order a chicken wing @ $1.80.

7th Jul (Sat)

The weather is unpredictable, sometimes it will start to rain in the morning.  But today, the weather is extremely hot.

While waiting for the bus after church service at the bus stop, randomly snap a picture.

As usual, Bukit Merah Central and the same coffeeshop.  Order from the chap chai rice stall.

I thought of having porridge, but when my mum saw the porridge, she said she wants the porridge, so I had rice instead.

8th Jul (Sun)

Haiz, constipation problem of my mum again.

Bought the above from the Chinese Medical Shop for her constipation problem.

Ask my mum if she wants to go out and eat, but she doesn't wants to, then tell her, or we go to the eatery in the neighbourhood to eat.  She was asking me to buy back and eat.  Wanted to get her out of the house, so tell her don't want to buy back and eat lah, go out and eat together lah.

She wanted chicken briyani, order an egg to go with the chicken briyani @ $6 to share.

The portion of the briyani rice, if I were to eat it alone, I won't be able to finish it .

Week 27 (Part 4)

30th Jun (Sat)

My mum doesn't wants to go church, manage to sweet talk her in going.

As usual, after service, was at Bukit Merah Central and the usual coffeeshop.  The coffeeshop was rather quiet and not much variety of foods to choose from.

My mum had porridge

with braised chicken, steamed egg and tofu @ $3.40.

I had Malay rice with chicken wing, chilli egg and begedil @ $3.30.

Good weather with no rain.

1st Jul (Sun)

Initially, I thought of bringing my mum to the Emergency Department in the Hospital due to her constipation problem.

Then I thought of the suppository that the Doctor prescribe the other time she went to see Doctor for her constipation problem.  So I decided to try on that first.

My mum was resistance when I want to insert the suppository for her that she push me away.  So I told her, if you doesn't want me to do it for you, then I have to bring you to the Doctor and let the Doctor do it for you.

In the end, I manage to insert it for her and within 15 minutes, bowel were out.

Was at a neighbourhood bakery, mouth itchy, must buy something to eat, so buy a 老婆饼 @ $1.20.

Week 27 (Part 1)

25th Jun (Mon)

I was in the vicinity of Jurong West as I need to get stuff from there.

There's this stall inside one of the coffeeshop selling kolo mee, Sarawak laksa, etc which has been around for quite sometimes.  And the foods, so so only, nothing to shout about. Actually I have something in mind to eat, but that stall, the foods is not ready yet.  And Monday, most of the stalls in the hawker centre is not open and I am lazy to walk back to the hawker centre.  So I order a bowl of Sarawak laksa @ $4.  It comes with shredded egg, shredded chicken, 3 small prawns and the worst part is, the prawns is not even fresh.

Attended a talk at the church.

After the talk ends, we were told to go to the 2nd storey as there's lunch provided.

I was asking whether any table can sit, a helper leads me to a table.  I notice that there's number in the table, where I was told that every Tuesday, there's activities in the church, different activities each week.  Attendance will be taken and each person will sit in the table that is assign.

Told the helper that I thought this is only a one time event as I saw about this event in the weekly church bulletin.

Then there was this grumpy lady in the table, looking at me and asking me which table number I was from and I was supposed to be sitting in the table number I was assign.  Reply her, I do not know as a helper leads me to this table.

Then the helper came back with a lunch box in which I ask if there are enough, if not enough, I will eat elsewhere, actually I have in mind where and what to eat if there is no lunch provided.

On the way home, I went Hoo Kee Bak Chang, Bukit Merah Outlet, Blk 161 Bukit Merah Central, #01－3735, Singapore 150161.

Bought a salted egg yolk bak chang with chestnut @ $4.

My Bible Study Fellowship resume, I was very tired and feeling very sleepy, I know I am very in need of a cup of kopi to keeps me awake.  Indeed it has kept me awake and I didn't doze off during the Bible Study Fellowship.

Week 16 (Part 4)

21st Apr (Sat)

As usual, after service, was at Bukit Merah Central.  This round, my mum wants to go to the other coffeeshop.

My mum had wu xiang @ $5

I had lo mai kai @ $1.40 and two siew mai @ $0.60.

As my mum throw a bit of tantrum this morning, so she only took breakfast and not lunch.  So she still wants something to eat.  She wants mixed rice, but not much variety, so ends up ordering a plate of chicken rice @ $3.

Zone 2 RC Senior Friendship Circle is on the 4th Sunday of every month.

Dessert - green bean soup

Breakfast - tang hoon with egg and ngoh hiang.

Yesterday night, WhatsApp Wenn who is in Singapore, what time is her flight back to Ipoh.  Her flight is evening time, the timing is right for me, so arrange to meet her in the airport.

Usually I will take a bus to Eunos, then from there take MRT to Airport.

Saw a banner in Eunos area a new stall selling Western foods, though wanna go try the spaghetti, but the stall was not open.  

End up at the market.

Had pork porridge @ $2.80

Told them I do not want lean meat, so only liver

and minced meat which I thought they will make into meatball, but it's not.  Overall, nothing to shout about.

As I was early, thought I will go for a cup of coffee, saw they do sell chwee kueh, the other day, my mum had chwee kueh at the Day Care Centre makes me crave for it, so order chwee kueh.  4 pieces of chwee kueh with a cup of coffee @ $3.  The chwee kueh, so so only.

When I met Wenn, she mention she has not eaten yet, didn't know she has not taken her lunch, as the day before when I WhatsApp her, she mention she will take her lunch with her daughter before going to the airport.  If know she hasn't eaten, I will not eat and can eat together with her.

We did chat for about an hour before I bid goodbye to her.
