The usual weekend

17th Nov (Sat)

Initially, thought of getting my mum going elsewhere for breakfast.  Then, there was a sudden heavy downpour, so have to drop the idea.

So, was at the hawker centre tabao food.

I have yet to try the nasi lemak from this Indian drink stall.  They have ikan and ayam.  Left two packet of ikan when I was there.  Bought a packet @ $2.

It comes with an ikan, ikan bilis, egg

Since I need to bring my mum for the Senior Friendship Circle tomorrow, so went church today.

Was at Bukit Merah View for early dinner.  Has been a while since I wat from the  Teochew Porridge.

3rd Sunday of the month, Zone 3 RC Senior Friendship Circle.

At first, I thought it's pudding, but it's bobo chacha.

Breakfast for the Senior's

Has bought a packet of udon from the supermarket as craving for it.  Cook it with hotdog and fishcake.

It's weekend again

29th Sept (Sat)

I was schedule for work tomorrow, so went for Hokkien Service.

I arrive just in time today so didn't manage to chit chat with the elderly there.

After the service, was at Bukit Merah View for my early dinner.

This round, I had rice

30th Sept (Sun)

My working day today.  Before going to work, went to the food centre to buy food for my mum and also bread just in case she's hungry before I come back.

The good part about working on weekend is that I do not have to rush back (no need to wait for the transport to bring my mum back from the Day Care Centre) and I can relax a bit.

Was craving for prawn bee hoon mee, from Malaysia Boleh @ $3.50.

It's weekend again

24th Aug (Fri)

As I have a course to attend the next day, and the venue is quite far from my place, and I am not familiar with the place, which means, I have to leave my place earlier to look for the venue.

So, I have to stock up some foods for my mum just in case she's hungry , she have some foods to eat before I come back.

My dinner - honey glazed chicken wing set @ $5.40.

25th Aug (Sat)

It is a requirement for those working in the food industry to attend the Food Hygiene Course.  My company send me for it and it's a full day course from 9am to 5.30pm.  We are told not to take pictures as the course is by the Government.

During lunch,  I was at the nearby coffeeshop having roasted duck rice @ $5.

26th Aug (Sun)

As usual, went for workout in the morning.  Then went for 2nd service, english service.  After that, was at Bukit Merah View for lunch.

18th Aug (Sat)

Church friend husband cremation day.  Called up another church friend who is staying at the same kampong if she's going.  Yes, she's going and we arrange to go together.

On the way, while chatting, she was mentioning she's a Malaysian but Permanent Resident of Singapore.  She will travel to the General Hospital in Johor for her medical appointment.  Was telling her, I need to work, if not, will follow her to Johor.

And as she's a Senior, she need not pay a single cents for her medical fee.  Haiz... My mum has to pay for medical fee.  Hmm, maybe I should shift my mum to Malaysia and see doctor at the General Hospital in Malaysia.

After everything is over, church friend and I went for lunch at a nearby coffeeshop to have our lunch cum chit chat before going back.  I had seafood claypot rice @ $5.  When the food arrive, it looks like vegetable rice to me as more vegetables.  Ingredients include vegetables, fishcake, squid and prawn.

19th Aug (Sun)

Since yesterday I didn't go church and my mum doesn't want to go out.  I went for workout at my kampong and then 2nd service, english service.

After service, went Bukit Merah View for lunch, had fish don from a western food stall in the hawker centre @ $4.  Of course, the food can't compare to those sold as in the Japanese restaurant.

As I message Mr and Mrs Choo younger son towards the end of the service, I only receive the reply when I was having my lunch, so after lunch, head toward the hospital to visit Mrs Choo.

This round, she repeat a few times she wants to die, die better.  And ever said ask Jesus to let her die.

After visiting Mrs Choo, a cup of coffee @ $2 in NUH Medical Centre.

And a packet of chicken wing nasi lemak @ $5.90 for my mum.

Weekend

28th Jul (Sat)

My mum didn't go church.  As usual, after service, went Kim San Leng coffeeshop at Bukit Merah View for early dinner.

Instead of the usual chap chai rice, this round, I had roasted meat rice @ $4.

29th Jul (Sun)

I was given one set of uniform when I started work.  Now that I was given another set of uniform, the pant was long and I need to send for alteration.  The other time, I was in the vicinity of Bukit Batok East and the pant I send for alternation cost me $8.

It comes to my mind that there's a alternation service at Bukit Timah Market as I recall, there's a time, my friend went to make enquiry.  The alternation costs me $5, much cheaper than the one at Bukit Batok East.

There's a time, I bought a new pant and was asking around where got alternation service and friend mention Clementi Market.  The charge was $6 and I was told have to come back again to collect and if I want it on the same day, add $1, at that time, I was thinking, if I were to go back, I have to take transport, counting the transport fee, I paid the lady $7 for the alternation.

In future, if I have any alternation to be done, I will go back Bukit Timah Food Centre there.

While waiting for my pant to be done, I thought I will go to the food centre to said hi to my friend who's running a business there, but got customers, so didn't go said hi.  Beside, the Food Centre was very crowded.

Instead, cross over to Bukit Timah Plaza and eat duck rice @ $4.

Week 17 (Part 4)

28th Apr (Sat)

My mum doesn't wants to go church, her reason being, in the Day Care Centre, she doesn't gets to nap, so she wants to stay at home to sleep.

I reach the church just in time when the service just started, so today didn't get any chance to chit chat with the aunties in the church.

After service, went to Buki Merah View.  Walk a round at the Food Centre, saw a stall selling pasta, but it was not open, so was back at the usual coffeeshop Kim San Leng.

This round, I had rice instead of porridge, $4.

29th Apr (Sun)

My Ah Kim (my mum's younger brother wife), has mention earlier she wants to make glutinous rice for my mum, I told her, I do not want to trouble her just to make for my mum, when she makes for her church friends, then give me a call, I will go and collect from her.

I was in Tiong Bahru Food Centre and saw a porridge stall, order a mixed pork porridge @ $4.

At first, I thought the glutinous rice, my Ah Kim gave 2 box, 1 for my mum and 1 for me, leave it for tomorrow breakfast or lunch, in the end, I couldn't resist the temptation and eat some.

Week 15 (Part 4)

14th Apr (Sat)

My mum doesn't wants to go Church, so after service, I was at Bukit Merah View having my early dinner.

15th Apr (Sun)

3rd Sunday of the month, Zone 3 Senior Friendship Circle breakfast session.  My mum throw tantrum by saiding she doesn't want to go, want to stay at home.  Have to sweet talk her to go.

Went to a relative place in the afternoon, as i'm not very hungry, has yam paste with ginkgo nut and pumpkin @ $3.80 before going back.

Sarawak Sibu Kampua Mee

(1) Suituapui shared the link of this Sarawak Sibu Kampua Mee stall in Bukit Merah View Food Centre in Facebook and tag me.  Knowing about this stall, of course, i went down to try it out.

(3) I had the Original Kampua Mee @ $4 a bowl, the guy who's doing the cooking, ask me if i want chilli, reply him a bit.  Inside the Original Kampua Mee, at first i thought, there are 2 pian sip, only to realised after stirring, there are 3 pian sip.
