A visit to ADA Cafe

I got to know about ADA Cafe through the website of Alzheimer's Disease Association (ADA).

I have wanted to go down and support the Cafe, but because of the distance, I put if off.

From Toa Payoh Bus Interchange, I take feeder service 238.

ADA Cafe is located at the ground floor, quite a nice and cosy place.

I had rosemary chicken aglio e olio @ $6.90

Yun Xiang Sarawak Kolo Mee

I tried the Kolo Mee (White) and Laksa from Yun Xiang Sarawak Kolo Mee.Laksa in Toa Payoh. But not the wanton.

(1) Archive Photo - Since from Botanic Gardens to Toa Payoh is not very far away, and I wanted to try the wanton, decided to go.

(2) I wanted to order the wanton + kolo mee, when the guy told me, no wanton, I was disappointed, since I'm already there and the other time, I try the Kolo Mee (white), this round, I order the Kolo Mee (red) @$3.50.

(3) The Kolo Mee (red) is more to the sweet side, and I find that I prefer the Kolo Mee (red).

(4) It comes with a bowl of soup

Lian Shan Shuang Lin Monastery

My JB friend ever mention about this temple in Toa Payoh area, where she went to pray before when she was working in Singapore many many many years back. But i never been there before. Since my friend and i were in the vicinity during the walking trip, decided to visit the place.

Yun Xiang Sarawak Kolo Mee & Sarawak Laksa

Came across this stall at a coffeeshop at Toa Poyah area the other time after the Park Connector walk. There used to be a stall at Taman Jurong Food Centre that i quite like their foods there, but they have closed down end of October. Since i came across this stall, decided to patron the stall.

(1) The name of the stall is called Yun Xiang Sarawak Kolo Mee - Laksa

(5) First round, i tried the Sarawak Kolo Mee, saw from the signboard they have red/white, ask them about it, and was told red is on the sweet side, at that time, i was undecided whether to have white or red, so i ask which is more popular, the reply was depends on individual, so in the end, i order the white. It's comes with minced meat and char siew and a small bowl of soup. Price $3.50.

(7) The 2nd round i was there, i tried the Sarawak Laksa @ $4.50, it comes with 4 prawns, shredded chicken and egg. Not bad to me, only that find the bee hoon is a bit too much.

I was in the vicinity of Toa Payoh, thought of eating Pan Mee in one of the coffeeshop which has good review, but sad to said, the stall was closed. Saw a few stalls like the western food, which looks tempting, wanton mee, which i like and a chicken/roasted pork/char siew/duck rice stall which has Q, was in a dilemma what to eat.

1. Saw that this wanton mee stall, they have 萝卜面, which i never seen before in a wanton mee stall and also i never tried before, so in the end, i decided to eat wanton mee.

2. Told them i only want wanton and not char siew, so i was given 7 wanton.

3. 萝卜面, which i like and suits my taste bud

Creamier

I was back at Creamier for the 2nd time, as i heard much about their Waffle and wanted to try it out.

It was on a Sunday afternoon, the place was quite small and crowded, so didn't mange to take picture of the place.

Was given this after ordering what we want, but it didn't silently vibrate as the staff serve each and every table.

Creamier

My Zumba Instructor has lesson on Wednesday at Toa Payoh Community Centre, it so happen 2 of my Zumba kakis is going there, so i tag along last Wednesday to the Community Centre to do Zumba. After the Zumba session, we went to have our meal, in which i didn't take picture of the food, then one of the kaki mention about going to eat ice cream at Creamier.
