Mrs Ng SK's Vanilla Butter Cake

The other time, i bake the Mrs Ng SK's Vanilla Butter Cupcake, this round, i bake in a loft and add in 150g of mixed fruits but it sink into the bottom. 

Bee Hoon

Previous Sun, i was at LJ house and her tentant who is from Myanmar cook bee hoon, i got a taste of it and i like it.  Heard LJ mention that the bee hoon is from Myanmar.  As our supermarket do not sell bee hoon from Myanmar, i went to Peninsula Plaza to look for the bee hoon and found it.

This is the Myanmar Bee Hoon that i have bought (S$1.50 per packet)

Heard LJ mention that her tentant bought ready made seasoning, i did not know what seasoning she use, but the lady at the shop recommend the above broth (S$4.50 per packet).

The lady taught me to soak the bee hoon for 1/2 hour, then boil the bee hoon for 2 - 3 min, then rinse the bee hoon using cold water.

Oh dear, i forgot the last steps, see how careless i am.

This is the bee hoon that i get, but then, i could not get the taste of the bee hoon that i got to taste at LJ house.

I used hard boiled egg just as her tentant cook, only that i have tofu fish cake in the fridge, i only put it insde.

LJ House (19th May 2013)

Friend LJ was saiding that her son mention that she did not cook pig trotter for quite sometimes and she will be cooking it previous Sunday, thick-skin me ask if i could join in and off i goes to her house again.

I didn't know that this saba fish could be buy from supermarket, as i seldom foods buy from supermarket since i don't cook often unless i wanted to cook something.

南瓜喜板

Saw in facebook a lady post about 南瓜喜板 , i was tempted to do it and ask her for the recipe.  She was so nice , she pm me the recipe and also her handphone number and ask me to call her if i am not sure of it.  I use half of the recipe to try it out.  As the dough is quite sticky, i didn't manage to weight it and make about each 45g ~  50g, so mine is not balance, have big and small.

Recipe of the 南瓜喜板 she gave me :

• 除了油，全部材料混合揉成团，才加入油揉均匀。
• 分割，一粒45到5Og。
• 手抹点油把面团搓圆放在香蕉叶上，待发酵3O分。
• 大火蒸12分钟，关火，盖打开小缝，3分钟。

Meetup with Wenn at Changi Airport (25th May 2013)

Wenn transits her flight at Singapore Changi Airport for her trip to New Zealand.  As she's arriving from Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 1544 hr and her flight to Christchurch is 1945 hr, we arrange to meet at Singapore Changi Airport.

Actually we arrange to meet outside, but in the later part, Wenn called me informing me that the Immigration Officer won't allow her out as her transit flight is less than 5 hours.  Went to the Information Counter to check out and was told that there's an Intercom at Terminal 2 and quickly called Wenn to inform her about it.

Lunch & Dinner at Johor Bahru (14th May 2013)

Friend was mentioning about going JB walk walk on a weekday as it's not that crowded and also to avoid the jam in the causeway. When we reach JB, we went for breakfast at a eatery place near the CIQ, but i didn't take picture of the roti prata that we eat.  Took the bus from JB CIQ to KSL City and the fare is RM1.50.

We wanted to watch movie, but not much variety there, in the end, we went for foot reflexology.  Below are lunch that we took at KSL City.

Chilli Crab Noodles

Suituapui was mentioning about this Chilli Crab Noodles in his blog, went to have a look at Cold Storage and saw it.  At first i was thinking of buying a packet and grab a packet, but after walking a round, i decided against buying it as i not into instant noodle, unless once in a blue moon, craving for it.

LJ House (5th May 2013)

LJ is my old time friend.  As her son birthday falls on 10th May, ask her whether she's at home on that day as thought of getting a cake for her son. Since she's free that day, went to her place and she cook lunch. Below are what she has cooked.

Happy Birthday to Ching

First of all, would like to wish Ching's Happy Birthday as this Sunday (19th May) is her birthday.  We met up on Wednesday (15th May) for dinner, too bad that day her hubby is working overtime, so didn't manage to meet him.  Below pictures are using my new camera as my old camera is giving some problem and i have got myself a new camera.

Normally after dinner with friend, we will go for kopi and chit chat time.  Racky Bukit Timah Plaza and found this place and we decided to go try it out.

Crispy Pom-Pins - Fried mash potatoes with a crispy exterior and a creamy interior.  First time try this and find that it is nice.
