Cod Fish

I loves Cod Fish but can't eat too often, only once in a blue moon as it is not cheap.  Saw the Cod Fish and ask the fish monger for the price and was told it's $45/kg.  The guy ask me to prepare around $12.  Told him i want a small slice and not too thick and the slice of Cod Fish that i bought $6.80. 

I used back the sauce that i use before

Pan fried the fish and pour the sauce over the Cod Fish and there it goes, my Cod Fish.

Pomfret

(1) I bought this pomfret at 3 for S$10, that time, when i bought it, the fishmonger was telling me that actually it's 2 at S$10, but offer, so 3 for S$10.

(3) Bought this sea stix crab sticks from the supermarket at S$1.85, although it's a bit more expensive than another brand crab sticks, but i find that this is nicer and also since i hardly cook and this brand has lesser crab stick than the other brand, so, just nice for me, i do not have to worry about the unused crab sticks still lying in the fridge if i buy the other brand crab sticks.

Got this packet of Sauce for Fried Cod Fillet at S$1.70

Steam the fish and heat the sauce and pour the sauce over the fish, and that's my steamed pomfret.  I like the sauce, suits me.

(4) The 3rd fish, the sauce, i used soy sauce mixed with sesame oil, cooking wine and some water.  The fish i steamed it.  Top with fried shallot.

Salmon Fillet

Bought this piece of fish from the supermarket at $5.86 (210g @ 27.90/kg)

Bought a tube of wasabi @ $2.69, add wasabi with light soy sauce

Cut the salmon into slices, become salmon sashimi

记鱼

Understand from the fish monger that this fish is 记鱼, one kg is $14 and this fish cost $4.50.

Bought this sauce for fish at $1.95

My fish after cooking, but i don't quite like the sauce, don't think i will buy it again.

Steamed Grey Mullet

Bought this Grey Mullet at S$4.09 (430g).  1kg is S$9.50

Got a packet of this mushroom at S$1.00

Honey Baked Batang Fish

Bought the above batang fish at S$4.90.

Was thinking of how to go about cooking the fish, when i came across Wokking Mum blog about Honey Baked Cod, i decided to used it as a reference to cook this batang fish.

Steam Fish & Fried Fish

I hardly buy fish so i do not know whether the fish i bought is expensive anot.  I  bought the fish as in 1 & 3 for S$12.  The lady told me the this fish is 红斑.

I cooked the fish two times.  The first time i steam the fish garnish with ginger and parsley (hope i didn't name it wrongly) as in 2.  The sauce, i used light soy sauce, rock sugar, hua tiao wine mixed with water as from what i google from the website.

The second time, i fried the fish as in 4.  The fish, i anyhow han tam rub it with a bit of curry powder which i had at home and then fried it.
