Bad Luck (2)

I realised that i forgotten my Singpass password when i need to use my Singpass, and i went to the Community Centre near my place wanting to reset my Singpass password and also thinking that any Community Centre will be able to do it, but was told, the nearest place i could get my Singpass password reset is at West Coast Community Centre, and  only during office hours, Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 5.30pm , or Central Provident Fund Board at Jurong East, which can be done during Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, Saturday, 8am to 1pm. Lucky mine is not any urgent case, if not, charm liao.

I went to the Central Provident Fund Board wanting to reset my Singpass password, they have a counter specially for Singpass transaction.  The queue is not long, but haiz, the couple at the counter is long winded which makes the waiting time longer.  But i did manage to reset my Singpass password.

Jurong Central, Let's Walk! In Conjunction with National Day Celebration Observance Ceremony (9th Aug)

(1) I got to know about this event, as one of the Instructor where i go for Zumba workout will be there for the Zumba at the above event.  Since she will be there, of course, must go support support.  Ticket is at $1 each with foods provided, but i didn't manage to take picture of it.  Also there is Lucky Draw, but as usual, not lucky at all.

(2) The event started off with a warm up for the walk, the walk is from Blk 312/316 Jurong East St. 32 Community Plaza to Jurong Green Community Centre.

(5) After reaching Jurong Green Community Centre, we were lead to sing some National Day songs, before 45 minutes Zumba starts at 9am.

(6) At around 10am, Adviser for Jurong GRC Mr Ang arrived, gave a speech, we sang the National Anthem, say the Singapore pledge, then there's is a cutting of cake.

Then, it's lucky draw time, foods time, before Home Sweet Home.

Random Post

(1) Usually, the workout at Marina Bay is only on Monday, but last week, 1st Aug to 6th Aug, total of 6 days, there are workout there, due to the GetActive! by the Bay event from 30th July to 7th Aug.  Each participants is entitle to a GetActive! Singapore Packs which as above consist of a towel, Strawberry Lava Cake, Orange Flavoured Cream Biscuit, Apollo Chocolate Stick Wafer, a packet of Milo.  I went for the workout on Monday taking for granted that the workout as usual will start at 6.45pm.  I reached there around 6.25pm and saw that quite a number of people is there already and in a while, the instructor went on stage and starts the workout.  I was thinking, how come, the workout starts early today.  Only to realise later that the workout for that week is from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.

(2) While on the way back, i was stopped by a lady asking me to hi-5 on the "hand" in the truck there, and i got myself a paper clip as above.

(3) While doing grocery at the supermarket, saw the above decoration at the entrance of the supermarket. 

TCC @ Marina Bay Sand

K, a friend i got to know from blogging, but now, no longer active in blogging, was back in Penang to visit her parents, before going back to UK (she's now residing in UK).  She was in Singapore from 28th July to 31st July.  I did not meetup with her on 28th July.  At first i was telling her, i meet her on 30th July (Sat), but then something crops up, i have to attend to a funeral on Friday morning, and then the rest of the day, i will be available. She's using her UK line and can only be contactable if she could find wifi. As she's here with her 4 year old daughter, she could not go many places.  On 30th July, she went Gardens by the Bay, i manged to arrange the timing and where to meet.

After we met, my first thought when talking to her daughter is using english.  K told me she taught her daughter to speak mandarin.  The daughter speaks english with her daddy and mandarin with her.  So all the while, we spoke in mandarin.  We walk around for a while, then we proceed to Children's Garden (heard her mention she brings her daughter there earlier on, this is the 2nd time in the day, she going there) where her daughter  play and we sat there chit chatting.  

After sometimes, there's an announcements asking the kids to get off the play area as they needs to do some cleaning. After cleaning up for her daughter, we proceed to Marina Bay Sands as K needs to go to 7-11 to get a Singapore number SIM card as she mention that her hubby has been looking for her and it will be earlier for her hubby to contact her if she has a Singapore number and need not look around for wifi to get connected.

While waiting at the traffic light to cross over to Marina Bay Sands, i was surprise that her daughter grab my hand and holds on to my hand while crossing the road. As earlier on, she pulls a long face and ignore me when i talk to her.  Her mum ask her to call me but she also ignore it.  As this is the first time i meet K daughter, i did not know what to get her, so i gave her an ang pao, she even throw it on the floor. So when she sudden grab my hand, i was surprise and even play with me after crossing the road. 

After getting the SIM card, we went looking for ice-cream as her daughter loves ice cream.

(3) K had the Mint-Chocolate Frappe @ $8.80, as i was entertaining the kid, so only manage to take picture of K drink after a while.

After that, K meeting up with her friend for dinner and i left.

Bad Luck (1)

Seeing 小影 blog about her Bad Luck Incident, now my turn to encounter Bad Luck.

I blog about the National Steps Challenge Step Tracker sometimes back. The challenge has end on 31st July.  It so happen on the 31st July morning, i went for my workout, after my workout, i went to buy foods back to eat.  While Q-ing for the foods, the step tracker was still there.  After buying the foods, i went to buy other stuff, then i realised that my step tracker was not with me.  I went back looking for it, but could not find it.

The next day, which is Monday, i called up the hotline that i found on the website, asking how do i go about getting a new one, was told that the challenge has end, if i were to get a new one, it will be for my recreation use.  I ask when will they be starting a new season, the reply i got was in October.  If i were to get a new one, only at the few places that they have publish in the website and it will be $23.90 as the price i paid the other time, $5, it was registeration fee.

Busy Week

Started my week on Monday as usual with a workout on Monday evening.

Then on Tuesday, i receive news that my Zumba Instructor mother passed away, arrange with friend to go down to the wake on Tuesday night.

Wednesday, at first i thought of postpone my meetup with a friend for dinner to go down again to the wake, but on second thought, have to arrange again for another meetup with the friend, so i go ahead with the dinner appointment.

Thursday, i went for another round of workout, then went to the wake again.

On Friday, it's the funeral day, cortege leaving from the wake venue at 10am, i set my alarm clock to 6am, but at 5.30am, i already woke up, thought of going back to sleep for another 1/2 hour, but was worried might overslept, so i didn't.  I left my house earlier so that i could go for a cup of coffee.  When i reached the shopping mall, i wanted to go Toast Box for a cup of coffee, but was surprise to see that all the seats are being taken up, as thought at that time, there won't be much people as people would have left for work.  Opposite Toast Box is Starbuck, but no lah, as i don't have much time to sit there and relax, so anyhow hantam liao, saw KFC, so went there for a cup of coffee before taking a feeder service to reach the venue.

After the funeral, i managed to get hold of a friend (a friend i got to know through blogging, and who is now no longer active in blogging) who is back from UK to Penang to visit her parents and before going back UK, she's in Singapore for a few days for a meetup.  (Will write about it in another post).

Saturday, i metup with the friend again, (another post).

On Sunday, i didn't send my friend off at the airport as what i have told her, i go there, i meet you only for a while and you have to go in already.  I went for my workout, above is the decoration at the park there, after that, i went to buy foods back to eat as i was tired and lazy to cook.  The rest of the day is lazing at home.
