Funeral (25th Oct 2013)

My friend father who just discharge from hospital recently passed away on 23rd October 2013.  It came as a shock to me as on Tue, i msg my friend how's her father and she replied me that he's better and the next day at night, receive a msg from her that her father passed away on Wed evening.

As there's not much people in her household, so the wake is on Thur and funeral in on Fri morning.

Since i was on leave on Friday, i went to send off my friend father.

I didn't take much pictures and only take a few only when i saw my friend church friend took the handphone and snap pictures.


Before leaving for Mandai Cremation, there's a service by Pastor of the church which my friend father attended.

九皇大帝 (13th Oct 2013)

As this temple at Arumugam Road sent off the Nine Emperor God on the 9th day of the lunar 9th month in the afternoon, my mum was thinking of going there to have a look, so we went there to see it, but we did not send off to the seaside there, only watch at the temple there.

As usual, took pictures of it.

Saw people took picture with this guy from the opera show, so i went up to ask him if i could take picture of him and he agree.

Birthday

My this group of friends, they wanted to celebrate my birthday for me, at first i rejected, as i feel bad if for them to spend on celebrating my birthday.  In the end, A call me up and spoke .... over the phone which makes me feel so bad if to reject it again.  So we went 红官 at Ang Mo Kio on Wed to listen songs there and gathering.

Fried Chicken with Fermented Tofu

Came across the Fried Chicken with Fermented Tofu from 3 Hungry Tummies blog, so thought of trying it out.

 Have a bottle of fermented soya bean curb at home

Pandan Kaya Butter Cake/Potato Salad/Thank You


I have printed out the Pandan Kaya Butter Cake from Bakericious blog for quite sometimes till recently have the urge to do it as i did not bake for quite a long time, guess the colour turn out this way as i used evaporated milk instead of coconut milk as i wanted to use up the can of evaporated milk laying there in the fridge.


I have a craving for potato salad after eating it the other day when i was at my aunty house, so decided to do it to satiety my craving.

Chin Huat Live Seafood (8th Oct 2013)

Celebrating friend JL birthday, we went Chin Huat Live Seafood as JL saw from television recommendation about the crab there, so wanted to try out.



Saw this crab and took picture of it


Kow Kia with Assorted Egg


Salted Egg Prawns - The prawns is nice


Crab Bee Hoon - But we find that the bee hoon nothing special, not much different from those zi char stall.


Crab with Pumpkin Sauce - This is the crab that JL saw in TV about the recommendation.

While leaving after dinner, one of my friend saw this huge fish and ask us to take picture of it.

Imitation Chicken Katsu

Hope nobody is scare off by this post.


When i saw Angeline post the Chicken Katsu Don, i was tempted to do it. But mine is the imitation version.  Since yesterday is Public Holiday, did it.



After coating with flour, egg and bread crumbs

I did not use the Dashi stock as in Angeline blog as i did not plan to get a bottle of the Dashi stock as in Angeline blog due to i hardly cook.  So instead i replace with clear chicken broth.  Luckily the supermarket got sell small packet.


My outcome, in the end become so ugly, haiz... Last me for lunch and dinner.
