The "black horns" are known as bat nuts or water caltrop... always have them for Mooncake Festival..enjoy your festival this weekend!

ReplyDeleteSeeing all these lovely photos make me remember all the mooncake festivals I celebrated as a child eating water caltrops, mooncakes, pomelos under the moon at night and playing with candles and lanterns. Now no longer celebrating as no young children around.
