Good appetite or Overeating?

As usual, my mum went for the breakfast session at PPHCSC last Friday morning.  After coming back and should be around 11 plus, gave her 2 leaf bun sandwich with luncheon meat.  After that, i went out for a while.  Tabao back a packet of Fishball Kway Teow for her.  She eat the Kway Teow and as for the ingredients, she doesn't want, so i finish up for her.  At that time, i made 2 leaf bun with luncheon meat for myself, since she doesn't finish the ingredients in the Fishball Kway Teow, i ask her if she wanted the leaf bun, she said ok.

At around 4pm, brought her down to PPHCSC for a cup of Milo and she was there for about 1/2 hour.  After that, she said she wanted to go eat, and we end up ordering a plate of Bee Hoon Mee Goreng @ $4 to share.

Is this consider Good Appetite or Overeating?

  1. haha...ur mom is so 'sporting' to enjoy eating...I personally tink elders who hav good appetite is a blessing. My mom likes to eat too, but my dad is a fussy/picky eater (cannot eat spicy, seafood and many others). So most of the time I tag with my mom for our food adventures.

  2. As long as she's enjoying and not affecting her health should be ok. Maybe give her more meals in smaller portion so she does not overeat.

  3. Sometimes when one has the early stages of Alzheimer and Dementia, they don't really remember the time of their last meal hence the good appetite. I didn't stop my father from over eating as I knew that his dementia was advancing and he would no longer be able to eat anymore.

  5. I think it is alright for her to eat as long as it it not big amount. Most of the food she couldn't finish and you are sharing the food with her.

  6. As long as she's happy and if you see it's not doing her harm, I think it's ok :)
