Thaipusam (24th Jan)

Thaipusam is one of the Hindu festival that is celebrate in Singapore, but it's not a Public Holiday in Singapore. Devotees carry milk pots/kavadi, starts from Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple in Serangoon Road and ends at Sri Thendayuthapan Temple in Tank Road, 4.5km.

  2. I remember that Singapore has very orderly roads for such public processions without causing any traffic jams besides the public safety is taken care of. The barricades are useful.

  3. I actually to watch the Kavadi bearers which come in many creative and innovative designs here but the huge crowd and traffic jams made me think twice. Anyways, I had seen them many times during my growing up years. The festive celebration is always so lively with abundance of colours and merry music!

    1. Last time, they don't allow music here, only this year, they change the law, and allow music...

  7. It is not a PH is East Malaysia as well. But we did see some happenings in Indian temples on Sunday.

    I never see a real thing but I always freak out when I see all those pricks all over the man's body.
