Abacus Beads


I was craving for abacus seeds and that those selling outside is not cheap and also not all places sell this.  So i thought i will make myself, but the one i make, appearance not that nice, hahaha....  I forgot to buy cloud ear mushroom, so didn't add that.

  5. If I'm not mistaken my mum said this is a Hakka dish. I like everything with yam, so this dish I definitely love it. Will try to make and cook it one day.

    I came across a recipe while goggle, using sweet potatoes, but i use yam, kaka...

  12. I like to eat abacus beads as my mother used to make them and I like the chewy texture and yam taste. Didn't know that they could be made with sweet potatoes because those that I have eaten so far are made with yam. The looks do not matter as I am sure yours taste great as home-made abacus beads have the authentic yam taste as they use more yam than tapioca flour.
