Garden of Eternal Peace @ Faith Methodist Church (2th Jan)

At first, my friend was thinking of burial for her hubby so as the whole body will be there, as  after cremation, it will only be ashes.  But after some thought, as burial,

NEA carries out exhumation programmes in phrases at the Choa Chu Kang (CCK) Cemetery, the only active burial ground in Singapore.  This is done in accordance with the new Burial Policy, introduced by the government in 1998 to combat land scarcity by limiting the burial period to 15 years.  Depending on one's religious requirements, the exhumed remains may be cremated and put into a columbarium or be re-interred. (Taken from the website)

So, final decision is cremation.

I did not go to Mandai as the Cell Group leader drove Eric wife, two of Eric younger sister, a friend, so no seats for me to follow them to collect the ashes.  Waited for them at the church where they place the niche.

The collected on 2nd Jan, as 1st Jan is a Public Holiday, the ash collection centre is not opened.

(1) She chose the columbarium inside a church.  The church is located near to MRT station and not far from her place.

(6) Friend has purchase double, so that when she passed on, she will be placed next to her hubby.  As the marble is not ready yet, a piece of paper is being pasted over it.

  6. These days it is more practical to cremate due to dwindling space at cemeteries and the prices at columbarium are much cheaper too.
